"None of us is as smart as all of us."
Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision; the ability to direct individual accomplishment toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon goals.
Team members need to function as ongoing partners, share resources, communicate openly and make decisions that focus on continuous improvement. The success of teams is influenced by the technical skills of their members, but these talents alone cannot ensure that the teams will achieve their goals. Teams need to be skillfully trained and developed if they are going to function most effectively.
